AFTER TASTE AT THE FESTIVAL CLUB
Back for another year, over six nights the Festival Club will provide a space to catch up with friends and family and feature a program of evening entertainment, billing some of Tasmania's best artists alongside national and international acts. Whether you are into Swing, Rhythm and Blues or Afro Beats, there will be a night for you.
The Festival Club is a space for you to meet friends and enjoy the great evening of entertainment. Festival Club doors open at 7PM with pre-purchased tickets. Food can be brought freely into the space from the Taste venue.

MONDAY 28 DEC - ACOUSTIC AND ROOTS
Start your Festival with an exciting night of Australian songs propelled by energetic jazz-like woodchop rhythm! The Band Who Knew Too Much is a bona-fide foolproof floor-packing band who for over a decade have branded their sound around the world; a highly energetic act to open the Festival.
TUESDAY 29 DEC - AFRO BEATS
Afro Beats welcomes KillaQueenz, one of the most promising hip-hop acts coming out of Australia right now.
KillaQueenz, hailing from Uganda and Belize, draw inspiration from their respective homelands and bring a fresh sound to a high energy performance of rhymes, beat boxing and dancing – the night is sure to be an ultimate crowd party rocker.

WEDNESDAY 30 DEC - TASTY IDOL
This is your chance to star – get those vocal chords warmed up and share your harmonies and sounds. The night will be judged by the traditional clap-o-meter with prizes to be won!
FRIDAY 1 JAN - COMEDY BITES
A stellar line-up of talent in three courses of delicious Comedy Bites.
ImproVice Squad members bring together Tasmania’s best comedians in an unscripted, innovative and entertaining show filled with comedy and fun.
Late night comedy club. This late night snack will feature Tassie's hottest stand-up comedians showcased in an adults only show.
Fiona Scott Norman will serve up ‘The need and the damage done’, a joyous romp through a top ten of the worst music ever released in the history of the world. Part slide show, part show and tell, part cabaret, part stand up, Fiona takes her audience on an hysterical journey.
SATURDAY 2 JAN - LATIN FEVER
Saturday night is Latin night -SondelSur will take the stage with a musical selection from traditional salsa heartlands.
LABJACD 9-piece Latin hip-hop outfit will then come to town ripping into old school hip-hop and jazz, Cuban salsa and even Andean folk music.

SUNDAY 3 JAN - SWING
Kelly Ottaway and Modern Operative bring together some of Hobart’s leading jazz musicians, revisiting the sound of the big small band and recreating the swing era. This 12 piece ensemble will play the arrangements of Benny Goodman, Johnny Hodges, Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton with kudos and the old school respect they deserve.
